Briton 5700 series locks comprise a heavy-duty, Euro-profile cylinder mortice lock case designed for medium to high-frequency applications. Briton 5700 series lock cases have been fire-tested and are suitable for use on timber and steel fire doors. The range offers various lock functions, all with a standard 60mm backset and 72mm centres.

This Briton lock case is made from galvanised steel, with the forend in Grade 304 stainless steel. All lock cases in the 5700 series have a 60mm backset and feature a 72mm centre-to-centre measurement, except for the bathroom function, which has a 78mm centre-to-centre measurement.

The 5700 series is dimensionally compatible with Briton's 5400 series. It is Certifire accredited (CF741) and fire-tested in accordance with EN 1634-1. For fire doors, an intumescent pack is required, such as the Briton 5000 IP.
