When fitted to timber fire doors, the lock case must be fitted in conjunction with an intumescent protection pack to maintain the door's integrity in a fire situation. This universal intumescent pack is suitable for all versions and functions because of the dimensional coordination of the Briton 5400 Series lock cases.
