The Exidor 297 is a surface-mounted rim latch for single and double-door applications. Simply depressing the pad provides a safe and speedy exit in the event of an emergency, whilst maintaining security against intrusion. The Exidor 200/300 Series of escape hardware consists of a vertical bolt, rim latch, and mortice night latch operator. Each product is operated by a push pad (EN179) or horizontal bar (EN1125), which, when pushed in a downward arc, withdraws the locking element, releasing the door for immediate egress.

*Certifire approves the Exidor 200/300 series for use on timber and steel doors to EN 1634-1: 2000. The rating will depend on the certification of the fire door. It is essential to realise that the hardware is required for the first part of the test until the door is sealed into the frame. After this period, the fire door is then responsible for sealing off the area.
